Each well-worn pant in this series has been renewed to extend its life.
French Workwear has become a ubiquitous term over the years to include any workwear for factory workers dyed the famed indigo blue, a practice which began in the late 1800s. We collected a selection of this workwear, including pieces originally manufactured in France, Germany, or other European countries in the 1960s and 1970s.
We’ve repaired and trimmed each piece utilizing antique Japanese boro fabrics to reimagine each pant into a one-of-a-kind piece. Since each pant dictated its transformation based on repair needs, no two pairs are the same.
French Workwear Pant 11/12 is of a heavy weight material and has two front pleats with a straight leg fit. We've added a triangular gusset to the back waistband as it came to us damaged. We've also hand stitched and patched some of its weaker spots. Complete the suit with one of our French Workwear Jackets to wear to your next board meeting.
